2010-2011 Winters After School Program Registration



Winters After School Program registration packets for the 2010-2011 school year will be available for Waggoner Elementary, and Shirley Rominger Intermediate  beginning May 10, 2010 at each school site upon dismissal of regular school day. Registration packets are always available at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall located at 318 First Street Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm.

All students must re-register for the new school year. Student enrollment will become valid upon return of completed registration packet to City Clerk’s office at City Hall.

Space is limited and will be enrolling on a first come basis. A waiting list will be provided.
Don’t miss this great opportunity for your child to learn in a fun and safe environment!
Students will receive:
• Homework Help and Literacy Element
• Educational enrichment, such as arts and craft projects, field trips, and engage in diverse enrichment learning opportunities
• Nutritious snack
• Recreation time

The program commences immediately after the regular school day and is open until 6:00pm.


No cost for those who qualify for free or reduced cost meal program (proof with certificate from school district)

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM DESIGN 

GOAL:  To provide a successful and engaging program for the promotion of a quality education and the enhancement of social skills in a safe environment, both mentally and physically to all youths of Winters for the betterment of our community. 

   

Desired Results:

·       Participants receive homework assistance in order to improve their academic skills and confidence.

·       Improve social skills and build relationships with peers in a safe and fun environment.

·       Engage participants in diverse enrichment learning opportunities. 

The City of Winters After School Program commences immediately after the regular school day and is open until 6:00pm. 

Students will participate in:

·       An educational and literacy component element

·       An educational enrichment element, such as arts and crafts, field trips, music and/or dance.

·       Nutritious snack

·       Recreation time
