American Red Cross Infant & Child CPR certification, as well as a Babysitter
Training certificate. Students can enroll in one or the other, or both
classes. Call the Red Cross at 530-662-4669 to register, or go online at

American Red Cross is located at 120 Court Street, Woodland.

THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR 2035 IS TAKING
SHAPE with the release of a draft project list, after nearly two years of
bottoms-up public input. The list was released by the Sacramento Area Council of
Governments Board of Directors at its June meeting. “This plan is the first of
its kind in long range transportation planning, linking Blueprint land uses with
a good combination of feet on the ground practical, high-value investments,”
said SACOG Board Chair and El Dorado County Supervisor Rusty Dupray. This $41.7
billion draft MTP2035 project list is a detailed listing of transit, road
improvements, operations, and other investments. The MTP2035 is based on
projections for growth in population, housing and jobs, and is key to the
quality of life and economic health of our region. The project list addresses
practical transportation needs as well as being innovative. The project list
provides a transportation system that reduces vehicle miles traveled per
household. While population is expected to grow by 50 percent, growth in
congestion per household is projected to increase by only 10 percent. There will
be more transit options for more transit trips. The complete draft project list
is available at www.sacog.org/mtp2035
or by calling (916) 321-9000.
